Mission

Teach Italian's mission is to encourage the teaching and sharing of Italian language and culture in the primary, secondary, post secondary colleges and universities of the United States.

A key driver for this to be successful is public interest. Therefore, we also wish to help Italian or Italian-American parents, immigrants and students learn more about the Italian language and culture.

The specific objectives of the organization are:

• To assist in the coordination, development and implementation of Italian language classes in public and private elementary and secondary schools

• To  assist in the coordination, development and implementation of private classes for children and adults

• To identify and compile a list of qualified teachers of Italian, and to direct them to employment opportunities in schools or private classes

• To help acquire and distribute fiscal and other resources to new and existing Italian language classes

• To preserve and protect the heritage of Italian-Americans, and to promote positive, friendly relationships with educational and cultural groups in Italy.
